Wear Orange Art Project

Students Demand Action North Metro Atlanta was proud to unveil our contribution to Wear Orange: a community-produced art display to honor Georgian victims of gun violence. The display was shown June 7th in Downtown Woodstock.

March to the Polls

On Election Day 2018, Cherokee County students marched from Canton City Hall to the Downtown Canton Precinct to provide water, information about gun sense candidates, and direction to the polling location. Cherokee County Students gave speeches about the importance of Gun Sense Candidates, recruited members for Students and Moms Demand Action, and provided a crafts table for kids.

Advocacy Day

On February 24th, Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action chapters from all over the state of Georgia converged on the Gold Dome in Atlanta to demand the common sense gun reform that Georgians deserve. For the first time, Students joined Moms Demand Action for the annual advocacy day in Atlanta. North Metro Atlanta Students Demand Action played an active role in fighting alongside other students and Moms to make our voices heard.

Remembering Gun Violence Victims

It's frighteningly easy to forget that 100 Americans are killed every day as a result of gun violence. Following the mass shootings in El Paso Texas and Dayton Ohio, North Metro Atlanta Students Demand Action hosted a candlelight vigil to honor the lives of all those who are killed because of this epidemic.
